About Julia Baumberger

Julia Baumberger brings warmth, empathy, and a deeply personal understanding of what “home” means to her work in real estate. Having lived in Takoma Park for more than a decade, she knows the community not simply as an agent, but as a neighbor, homeowner, parent, and active participant in local life. That perspective helps her understand the many factors that shape a move—from the character of a neighborhood and the rhythm of daily life to the practical needs that make a particular house truly feel like home.

Julia’s approach is grounded in listening. She takes the time to understand what her clients are looking for, what concerns them, and what matters most in the next chapter of their lives. Whether helping a first-time buyer understand the process, guiding a family through a competitive search, or helping a seller prepare for a move, she brings a calm, thoughtful presence and a strong commitment to making the experience feel manageable and well supported.

Before entering real estate, Julia devoted much of her time to her family and community, including service on a local school board and other volunteer efforts. Those experiences strengthened the skills she now brings to clients every day: patience, communication, organization, advocacy, and an ability to see decisions from more than one point of view.

As a member of the Katie Bocock Team, Julia works with buyers and sellers throughout Takoma Park, Silver Spring, and surrounding communities. Her growing body of transactions has included everything from condos to single-family homes, giving her practical experience across a wide range of property types and price points.

Julia especially enjoys helping clients look beyond the obvious. A successful home search is not simply about bedrooms, bathrooms, or finishes; it is about whether a property fits the way someone wants to live. Likewise, preparing a home for sale means understanding both the house itself and the people who are likely to connect with it.

Outside of real estate, Julia can often be found gardening, baking, and creating the same kind of warm, welcoming environment in her own home that she hopes to help her clients find. For her, real estate is ultimately about people, relationships, and helping someone feel confident about where they are going next.
